Goals
To assist the unemployed of Employment Insurance to start up a business, which is provisioned in the paragraph 3 and 4 of Article 12 of the Employment Insurance Act,Workforce Development Agency (WDA) encourages the unemployed to start up an entrepreneurship in order to promote employment, and achieve the goal of stabilizing their lives.
Qualifications
Applicants must be the insured of employment insurance and meet the following requirements:
- Accepting entrepreneurship counseling and guidance and adaptability analysis of WDA.
- Joining the training of entrepreneurship management of WDA.
- Guided by WDA and set up registration according to law.
- The set-up registration date shall be after the counseling and training program for the
entrepreneurship.
- The applicant is unemployed during the time when he or she accepts guidance, participates the entrepreneurial training programs and makes a company or business registered.
- Be the owner of the enterprise.
Implement Measures
The maximum amount of the loan is 1 million N.T.D, with low interest rate (according to the floating rate for 2-year postal savings plus 0.575%). The first 3 years of the loan is free of interest. No guarantors are required. No collaterals are needed. The SMEG(Small & Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Fund of Taiwan) provides 95% credit guarantee and WDA subsidizes the balance when applicants afford the fixed liability interest rate of 1.5% from the 4th year.
