Home employment services of people with disabilities

This is to assist people who work at home and who cannot sit for long or go out or cannot enter the general workplace easily or start their own business, but, with the help of others, can more smoothly enter the work market. It is can be achieved by each local government to entrust institutions or groups along with the cooperation of relevant service measures in its jurisdiction to help those people work at home based on individual needs.

Purpose

To help people with disabilities who have difficulty entering the general workplace to enhance their professional ability to work at home in order to achieve the goal of self-reliance.

Basis

Operation in accordance with the provisions of Article 33 of the People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act.

Implementation methods

  1. Service modes
    1. People with severe disabilities who have professional production capacity but cannot start their own business are to be assisted by the organizers through team help to enhance their professional, marketing and management skills to achieve the goal of a personal studio or business.
    2. To cooperate with enterprises to provide full-time or part-time home working opportunities through the ways of employment, labor contract or outsourcing to help people with disabilities who lack work skills required by the general employment market and tend to be rejected by most employers due to movement limitations.
  2. Related assistances
    1. To assess the renovation needs of the home employment environment, occupation capacity and auxiliary equipment and to assist in the acquisition of relevant resources.
    2. To develop individual employment service plans for home employment, to provide an employment support and supervision system, and to establish a counseling mechanism, communication platform and support system as well as to apply for home employment skills study, counseling visits, and fora to help them adapt to employment.
    3. To provide follow-up counseling and consultant services after case is closed.
