Supportive employment services for persons with disabilities
If you are a person with a disability who is willing to work but lacks the required skills in the competitive employment market, we provide supportive employment services such as individualized employment arrangement, training and other job assistance, with employment service personnel along with intensive counseling for 2 weeks to 3 months to help you work in general workplaces. The working hours, wages and related labor rights for the jobs introduced and recommended by the supportive employment service personnel shall follow the requirements prescribed in related labor laws and regulations. The working hours of part-time workers shall be at least 20 hours per week to protect the interests of the supported employee.
Basis
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 34 of the People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act, to people with disabilities who are willing to work but lack the required skills in the competitive employment market, competent labor authorities at all levels shall provide supportive employment services such as individualized employment placement, training and other job assistance based on individual work skills.

Implementation methods
- Types of supportive employment services
- Individual service model: to assist in the employment of people with disabilities in the competitive workplace through one-on-one service carried out by employment service personnel.
- Group service model: employment service personnel assist the employment of people with disabilities in the competitive workplace in groups of three.
- People with disabilities who need supportive employment service shall be evaluated by vocational counseling units after being referred by employment reconstruction service window (employment transition) of the municipal or county (city) government. Those who meet the requirements for supportive employment service objects will be assigned to supportive employment service personnel for service provision. Those who fail to meet the requirements will be transferred by such window to receive services from other suitable units.
- The appointment of employment service personnel and the supervision of employment service shall follow the regulations prescribed in the Guidelines governing the appointment and cultivation of profession personnel of occupational reconstruction service for people with disabilities.
