Do you struggle to find quality working conditions due to a lack of skills? The Workplace Development Agency, Ministry of Labor promotes the model of the Business Training Cooperation Program, which is a solid employment-oriented training program planned by training institutions and corporations, to improve employment skills and facilitate immediate employment after training, creating a win-win situation.

The Business Training Cooperation Program is a tailor-made vocational training program for corporations to train talent that meet the needs of the industry. Training institutions work with at least two corporations in need of talent to draft and organize their training and recruitment program. Professional training and practical training are provided by training institutions and corporations separately to allow trainees to be employed by corporations directly after training based on the working conditions provided.

55-year-old Mr. Yang was a middle-aged person with a disability and had difficulty finding a job after being laid off. He learned of the Computer Numerical Control Machinery Class, which allows qualified trainees to be employed directly by the corporation (Hangwei Machinery Co., Ltd.), through the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Regional Branch, Workplace Development Agency and applied for it. After taking 452 hours of professional training courses on CNC program design, view and drawing, CNC operation, and machinery processing, and participating in 152 hours of practical training in Hangwei Machinery Co., Ltd., where he discussed mold processing design with colleagues after the daily internship, he was highly praised and recognized by the boss and is currently employed as a CNC mechanical mold technician at Hangwei Machinery Co., Ltd. after training, at a basic wage of NT$35,000.

Unemployed people who need vocational training may contact a nearby public employment service center, which will clarify their career goals, confirm their need of skills, and refer them for vocational training. Those willing to participate in the Business Training Cooperation Program may contact each regional branch directly to organize the vocational training.
