To offer job seekers more opportunities for career moves or jobs, the Workforce Development Agency is organizing “Good Vocational Training Helps Trainees Get Good Salaries”- The 2018 Job Expo in Hsinchu, Pingtung, Yilan, Chaiyi, Taichung and Keelung from February to August, 2018. The agency will invite more than 400 companies to participate, offering more than 13,000 job vacancies. Job seekers at the Expo should seize this opportunity to have a face-to-face interview with companies they would like to work for.

In response to the increasing talent needs due to career moves after the Chinese Lunar New Year, the graduation season, and companies that have urgent recruitment needs, the agency will organize a large-scale job expo in 6 cities and counties throughout Taiwan. The first expo is scheduled to be held in Hsinchu in February and the last one in Keelung in August. The first job expo will be held at National HsinChu Commercial Vocational High School on February, 24, 2018 (Saturday).  The agency has invited more than 60 companies, including Taiwan High Speed Rail, United Microelectronics Corporation, AU Optronics Corporation, Wistron, Uimicron Technology Crop. to offer more than 3,500 job vacancies. To support the latest government policy which is to encourage employers to give raises, among them, more than 1,780 jobs have a starting salary over NT$30,000; the starting salary for engineer vacancies released by Young Optics Inc., Loop Telecommunication International, Inc., Kinestral Technologies Inc., and Gianplus Technology Co., is as high as NT$60,000.  Furthermore, companies such as Amkor Technology, OPTOTECH, PTI, and Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd., will release more than 100 job vacancies each.  It is the perfect opportunity for job hunting and career moves after the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The first job expo in the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli region will provide paperless, tech-savvy, and real-time info services to avoid redundancies in recruitment registration. These services are connected to the “Job Matching System” developed by Taiwanjobs, and job seekers may become the member of Taiwanjobs first, then, fill in the recruitment registration form.  When they arrive at the expo, they should first report to the Job Hunting E-Zone; then submit their paperless-resume by entering their I.D. No. or cellphone number. Those who are not yet members of Taiwanjobs may use their laptop to finish the registration at the Job Hunting E-Zone first, or ask for assistance from our staff at the scene.

In addition to the job expo, the agency also established “Taiwanjobs” website (https://www.taiwanjobs.gov.tw) to integrate services for employment, vocational training, skill assessments, and startup by working with the three major job banks: 104, 1111, 518, and 4 major convenient-store chains: 7-11, OK, Hi-Life and Familymart, to set up the touchscreen system in more than 10,000 convenient stores throughout Taiwan offering 24/ 7/ 365 service for the latest available job vacancies, vocational training, and recruitment all over Taiwan. Job seekers may also ask for employment-related info at more than 300 public employment-service centers all over Taiwan or call 0800-777-888 for the information they need.
