The Entrepreneurial Counseling Program and subsidies for interest on Phoenix Micro Start-up Loan were implemented by the Ministry of Labor to help citizens start businesses. Free entrepreneurial courses were also given by professional counselors with industry knowledge and expertise to provide counseling services in the early/middle/later stages, develop citizens’ abilities of operations, and help citizens obtain funds to maintain stable and sustainable businesses.
As of today, more than 120,000 citizens have taken the entrepreneurial courses; nearly 40,000 citizens were provided with entrepreneurial counseling and loans were granted to 5,000 citizens or more for a total amount of nearly NT$3 billion, creating more than 40,000 job opportunities.
