To enjoy your Lunar New Year holiday, would you like to experience the cultural creation through the old and new in the ancient city Tainan, to contact the traditional handicraft skills in Changhua, and/or visit the aboriginal life style in Taitung? These suggestions are from the special agenda derived from the so-called “Multi-Employment Promotion Program” (MEPP) and“Empowering Employment Program” (EEP) held by the Workforce Development Agency of Ministry of Labor, originally developed for assisting the disadvantage people employment. Hope these suggestions will give you information to enrich your holiday, and additionally expand your body and soul.

 

The two programs, namely MEPP and EEP, are designed to assist the unemployed to take part in the planed occupation so that they can build confidence, cultivate employment ability. Those institutions participate in these programs had developed various experiencing schedules, including cultural creation, ecological, traditional skills, and aboriginal life. It’s happy to see everyone take some time to explore these special agenda and give yourself an extraordinary traveling atmosphere.

 

So far, the MEPP and EEP had finished more than 1,000 idea creation programs with the cooperation of organizations, over 130,000 unemployed people got jobs, and boosted the employment of middle age and elderly, aboriginal people, involuntary unemployment, and women. Recent years, the Ministry of Labor has been actively encouraging and counseling organizations to develop social businesses, to expect that the cooperation between the government and the organizations can enlarge the realization of social welfare and make the self-sufficiency possible.
