Taiwanese contestants will attend the 44th WorldSkills Competition in Abu Dhabi

The 44th WorldSkills Competition will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from October 14 to 19, 2017 in the United Arab Emirates; Taiwan’s young contestants will participate and do their best for the highest honor.

The WorldSkills Competition is an international event organized by the WorldSkills International Organization (WSI) every two years. A total of 47 national competitors are selected for this year. Every one of them have experienced rigorous training, they will compete in various trades to display their skills.

WorldSkills Competition has been known as the Olympic Games in the field of vocational skills, the game system is very strict, age ceiling for player is mostly under 22, and neither repeat nor cross-trade registration is allowed, the competitor has only once a lifetime chance to participate, it is indeed a precious experience to be cherished. Taiwan had a dazzling performance in the last Competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2015, won 5 gold 7 silver 5 copper 19 awards of mention. The contestants of 2017 are grilled to horn their skills in the hot summertime relentlessly, and looking forward to another success for Taiwan and winning the best glory for themselves.

Contestants are in full swing of training schedules, but also taking any domestic or international mock competitions to practice and learn from each other, to upscale their skill sophistication. From the 44th WorldSkills Competition is only three weeks to go, the Ministry of Labor national training units will provide the best support to assist the youngsters in Taiwan to play in Abu Dhabi to exhaust their combat power to the fullest extent, and to shine for Taiwan again!
